The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having successfully completed or substantially completed similar works, such as road/bridge/building works, during the last seven years. The experience criteria are as follows: - Three similar works each costing not less than 40% of the value of work. - Two similar works each costing not less than 50% of the value of work. - One similar work costing not less than 80% of the value of work. The amount of works shall be updated to the price level of the last financial year at the rate of 8% per year compounded yearly. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 95% completed as on the date of submission. A certificate from the employer shall be submitted along with qualification information, clearly mentioning the name of work, contract value, billing amount, date of commencement of works, satisfactory performance of the contractor, and any other relevant information. For joint ventures, the lead partner shall meet not less than 50% of the qualification criteria, and each of the remaining partners shall meet not less than 25% of the criteria. The bidder should have acquired the experience of execution of all major items of works under the proposed contract. In case of experience as a sub-contractor, a certificate from the principal employer shall have to be furnished. The total annual financial turnover of the bidder, duly certified by a Chartered Accountant, should not be less than 30% of the value of work, updated to the price level of the last financial year at the rate of 8% per year compounded yearly. The bidder should have experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last seven years, with certificates from the concerned officer not below the rank of Executive Engineer or equivalent. Additionally, details of works in progress or contractually committed with detail of clients who may be contacted for further information on those contracts are required. However, specific values or percentages of similar works completed are not mentioned in some cases. The required prior work experience includes: - 40% of the value of work for three similar works - 50% of the value of work for two similar works - 80% of the value of work for one similar work - 95% completion for substantially completed works - 50% of the qualification criteria for the lead partner in joint ventures - 25% of the criteria for each of the remaining partners in joint ventures - 30% of the value of work for the total annual financial turnover.
