The required prior work experience for the bidder includes completion of similar works as a prime contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years, up to FY 2023-24. The bidder needs to attach a certificate from the Engineer-in-charge for this information. Additionally, the bidder should have a total annual volume of civil engineering construction work executed and payments received in the last five years preceding the year in which bids are invited, with a certificate from a Chartered Accountant. The bidder must have experience in construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years. For individual bidders, the required prior work experience includes work performed as prime Contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume, with a certificate from the Engineer-in-charge, and work performed as Sub-Contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume, with a certificate from the Engineer-in-charge. The available bid capacity for construction work is calculated based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the price level of the last year at the rate of 8 percent a year. The bidder's available bid capacity for construction work must be equal to or more than the total bid value excluding maintenance. The bidder should have experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years. They should provide details of works in progress or contractually committed with certificates from the concerned officer not below the rank of Executive Engineer or equivalent. Regarding the value and percentage of similar works completed, the bidder can subcontract components of the works for construction/up-gradation, aggregating to not more than 25 percent of the contract price. The bidder should have evidence of access to lines of credit and availability of other financial resources equivalent to 10 percent of the contract value. The amount of Bid Security is Rs 12.27 Lacs, which is 2 percent of the estimated value of the works. The bid validity period is 90 days from the date of submission of the bid. Liquidated damages for delay in completion of works is 1 percent of the Initial Contract Price per week, with a maximum limit of 10 percent of the Initial Contract Price.
