The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience as a prime contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed, as a prime contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third (or one-fourth in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts) of the estimated cost of the work for which the bid is invited. Specifically, for certain roles, the required prior work experience is: - For Maintenance Engineer with a degree in Civil Engineering, a minimum of 3 years of experience is required for contracts more than Rs. Five crores. - For Maintenance Engineer with a diploma in Civil Engineering, a minimum of 3 years of experience is required for contracts up to Rs. Five crores. - For Lab Technician, a diploma in Civil Engineering with 5 years of practical experience is required for contracts more than Rs. Five crores. The value and percentage of similar works completed are mentioned as: - one-third of the estimated cost of the work (or one-fourth in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts) - 60% of the amount put to bid (for bids up to Rs. 200 lakhs) - 75% of the amount put to bid (for bids above Rs. 200 lakhs) - 50% of the amount put to bid (for Naxal / Left Wing Extremist Affected Districts) The bidder should also have completed a certain percentage of the contract work component within a certain period, such as 1/8th of the value of the entire contract work component up to 1/4th of the period allowed for completion of construction, and 3/8th of the value of the entire contract work component up to 1/2 of the period allowed for completion of construction.
