Description The Philippine Rural Development Project (prdp) Is A Six (6) Year Project, Jointly Funded By The World Bank, The Department Of Agriculture (da) And The Local Government Units. The Project Aims To Establish A Government Platform For A Modern, Climate-smart, Market Oriented Agri-fishery Sector. Externally, It Will Focus On Expanding Market Access And Improving Competitiveness. Internally, It Aims To Introduce Reforms Within The Department’s Bureaucracy. The Prdp Has Requested For An Additional Financing Of Us$450,000,000. The Board Of Executive Directors Of The International Bank For Reconstruction And Development (ibrd) Approved The 1st Tranche Or 1st Additional Financing (af1) And Signed The Loan Agreement Last March 2, 2018 In The Amount Of Us$170,000,000 While The 2nd Tranche Or 2nd Additional Financing (af2) In The Amount Of Us$280,000,000 Was Approved Last June 21, 2021 And Became Effective Last September 24, 2021. This Af2 Loan Is Co-financed By A European Union (eu) Grant In The Amount Of Eighteen Million Three Hundred Thousand Euros (€18,300,000) And It Intends To Apply Part Of The Proceeds Of This Loan To Payments For The Hiring Of Interested Applicants To Fill Up The Vacant Position Of One (1)finance Analyst Ii.
