The ancillary and technical rooms required to operate the emergency power system are mechanically ventilated. A floor-standing central ventilation unit with a volume flow of 1,900 m3/h is used in the ventilation center specially created for this purpose. The ventilation unit is equipped with an electric reheating register for heating purposes. The outside air is supplied via a ventilation duct which leads outside through the stairwell emergency exit Gw, room Hw-gub-31. The exhaust air leads outside via the same route. The air is distributed via a duct network made of galvanized sheet steel. The air volume is allocated to each person or area using volume flow controllers or control flaps.
