The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing similar works during the last 07 years. The required experience can be in the form of: - Three similar works costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. - Two similar works costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. - One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. The value of similar works completed is considered as the completion cost of work, which includes the gross amount and PVC amount (if paid). For substantially completed work, payment equal to or more than 90% of the present contract value (excluding the payment made for adjustment of Price variation) has been made to the contractor. Specific values of similar works are also mentioned, such as: - Rs. 1, 45, 47, 270.30 Each - Rs. 1, 93, 96, 360.40 Each - Rs. 2, 90, 94, 540.60 Each. In case of subcontracting, the subcontractor must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for tenders having an advertised value up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required.
