Northern Railway Tender

The bidder must have successfully completed or substantially completed certain categories of work during the last 07 years. The categories include: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, - One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. For composite works, the tenderer must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 years: - Three similar works costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, - Two similar works costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, - One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. The bidder should have a minimum average annual contractual turnover, calculated as an average of "total contractual payments" in the previous three financial years. The average annual contractual turnover should be at least V/N or 'V' whichever is less, where V is the advertised value of the tender in crores of Rupees and N is the number of years prescribed for completion of work. For substantially completed work, payment equal to or more than 90% of the present contract value (excluding payment made for adjustment of Price variation) should have been made to the contractor. In case of completed work, the value of the final bill (gross amount) including the PVC amount (if paid) shall be considered as the completion cost of work. In case the final bill is pending, only the total gross amount already paid including the PVC amount (if paid) shall be considered as the completion cost of work. For subcontractors, they must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required for subletting work costing up to Rs 50 lakh.
