Bid Capacity

The average annual contractual turnover shall be calculated as an average of 'Total contractual payments" in the previous three financial years, as per the audited balance sheet.

Technical Capacity
The required prior work experience for the bidder involves successfully completing or substantially completing specific categories of work within the last 7 years. These categories include:
(i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender,
(ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender,
(iii) One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender.
For composite works, the requirements are similar but based on the advertised value of each component of the tender. The subcontractor must have completed at least one similar work costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted in the last 5 years, unless the subletting work costs up to Rs 50 lakh, in which case no prior experience is required.
The bidder must also have a minimum average annual contractual turnover, calculated as the average of total contractual payments in the previous three financial years. This turnover is related to the advertised value of the tender (V) and the number of years prescribed for completion of work (N), expressed as V/N or "V" whichever is less.
