Non-competitive combined Synopsis / Solicitation title: Acquisition Of Microwave Synthesis Vials And Low Volume Recovery Vials (i) This Is A Combined Synopsis/solicitation For Commercial Products And Commercial Services Prepared In Accordance With The Format In Subpart 12.6 As Supplemented With Additional Information Included In This Notice. This Announcement Constitutes The Only Solicitation; Proposals Are Being Requested And A Written Solicitation Will Not Be Issued. (ii) The Solicitation Number Is 75n95025q00151 And The Solicitation Is Issued As A Request For Quotation (rfq). this Acquisition Is For A Commercial Product Or Commercial Service And Is Conducted Under The Authority Of The Federal Acquisition Regulation (far) Part 13—simplified Acquisition Procedures; And Far Part 12—acquisition Of Commercial Products And Commercial Services, And Is Not Expected To Exceed The Simplified Acquisition Threshold. this Is A Non-competitive (notice Of Intent) Combined Synopsis Solicitation To Award A Contract Or Purchase Order Without Providing For Full Or Open Competition (including Brand-name). the National Institute On Drug Abuse (nida), Office Of Acquisition (oa), On Behalf Of The National Center For Advancing Translational Sciences (ncats), Intends To Negotiate And Award A Purchase Order Without Providing For Full And Open Competition (including Brand-name) To: Twd Tradewinds. Inc, 10555 86th Avenue Pleasant Prairie, Wi 53158 For The Acquisition Of Microwave Synthesis Vials And Low Volume Recovery Vials. this Acquisition Is Conducted As Non-competitive For A Commercial Item Or Service And Is Conducted Pursuant To Far 13.106-1(b)(1). the Rationale For A Sole Source Is The Location Of The Facility And Use Of Rees Alarm Monitoring System Which Is Also Used By Ncats On-site. The Freezers And Frozen Samples Are Already On-site At The Kamtek Facility And The Risk Of Moving Sites Increases The Likelihood Of Damaging Samples Which Presents An Unmeasurable Cost In Regard To The Impact The Loss Of Valuable Scientific Data. (iii) The Solicitation Document And Incorporated Provisions And Clauses Are Those In Effect Through Federal Acquisition Circular (fac) Number 2025-03, With Effective Date January 17, 2025. (iv) The Associated Naics Code Is 334516- Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing And The Small Business Size Standard Is 1,000 Employees. (v) This Requirement Is For The Following Product: Acquisition Of Microwave Synthesis Vials And Low Volume Recovery Vials. Please See The Attached Purchase Description (pd) For Detailed Requirements. (vi) The National Center For Advancing Translational Sciences (ncats) Is In The Need To Acquire: Mrvs- Microwave Synthesis Vials And Hrvs- Low Volume Recovery Vials. Background Information: Microwave Reaction Vials (mrvs) Are Specifically Designed To Withstand The Extreme Conditions Of Microwave-assisted Reactions. These Vials Are Made From Materials That Can Endure High Temperatures And Pressures Generated During Rapid Heating Processes. They Are Commonly Used In Laboratories For Accelerating Chemical Reactions In Applications Such As Synthesis, Digestion, And Extraction. The Use Of Microwave Heating Improves Reaction Efficiency By Providing Uniform And Precise Temperature Control. High Recovery Vials (hrvs) Are Laboratory Vials Specifically Designed To Minimize Sample Loss During Storage And Handling. Made From High-quality Glass Or Specialized Polymers, These Vials Prevent Contamination And Evaporation, Which Is Particularly Critical When Dealing With Small Or Valuable Samples. Hrvs Are Commonly Used In Analytical Laboratories For Applications That Require Precise Measurements, Such As Chromatography, Sample Analysis, And Biological Research.
