Background And Rationale To Further Increase The Economic Capacity And Well-being Of The Tagbanua Tandulanen Agricultural Cooperative Beneficiaries, It Is Important To Be Part Of Strategies To Develop New Ways Or Alternative Source Of Income Other Than What They Have Already Undertaken. But This Strategy Must Be Sensitive To Their Capacity And With Respect To Their Cultural Integrity As Cultivators And Hunter And Gatherer Way Of Life. Thus, Considering All The Circumstances, An Intervention Has Been Crafted To Address That Immediate Concern Of The Tagbanua Tandulanen Agricultural Cooperative. It Was Concluded That Farming Related Intervention Must Be Initiated To Fit Their Way Of Life, Increase Income And Also Maintain Their Identity As A Cultivator And Hunter And Gatherer Society. Thus, Backyard Cattle Raising Were Then Considered As A Feasible And Most Strategic Approach For Their Situation. Backyard Cattle Farming Is An Important Part Of The Livestock Industry. It Is Popular Because Of The Following Advantages: (1) It Augments The Farmer’s Income; (2) It Requires Minimum Space For Housing; (3) It Allows The Use Of Cheap And Plentiful Farm By-products Which Ordinarily Got To Waste, And (4) It Helps Meet The Immediate Demand For High Protein Foods In The Human Diet. Furthermore, Backyard Cattle Raising Is An Activity Commonly Known As A Family Shared Responsibility. Any Member Of The Family At The Right Age And Capacity Could Be Part Of The Activity, Therefore Maximizing Labor Potential Within The Household. A Total Of 5 Heads Cattle Will Be Dispersed To Selected Beneficiaries, A Training On Backyard Cattle Raising Will Be A Component Of The Project, Each Cattle Will Be Ensured And Registered In The Municipal Agriculture Office. It Will Be Part Of The Animal Dispersal Agreement That 2nd Calf Of This Cattle Will Be Rolled Over To Other Tagbanua Tandulanen Icc Families To Sustain And Maintain The Initiative. Management And Monitoring Of The Dispersed Cattle Will Also Be Part Of The Tagbanua Tandulanen Agricultural Cooperative. All Beneficiaries Will Be At The Same Time Member Of The Cooperative To Ensure Sustainability And Long-term Impact Of Holistic Intervention. Iii. Objectives The Objective Of The Project Is To Establish Sustainable Livelihood Activities For Tagbanua Tandulanen Communities Of Barangay Canique, Taytay, Palawan. • Provide Short Term, Medium Term And Long Term Economic And Income Opportunity To Ip Families; • Increase The Local Production Of Agricultural Products Such As Pineapple And Banana; • Introduce Integrated Sustainable And Balance Agricultural Production To The Ip Community; • Provide Sustainable Agricultural-technology “integrated Farming And Multi-storey Cropping” That Could Be Adapted And Practice, In Line With The Traditional And Cultural Farming Method Of Ip/iccs; • Provide Livestock (cattle) At Additional Source Of Income For Ip Families; • Develop An Iccs/ips Agricultural Cooperative That Will Manage The Marketing Of Their Farm Products And Provide Farm Inputs To The Iccs/ips Farmers; Iv. Minimum Requirements I. Must Be Able To Deliver 5 Heads Of Cattle And 9 Rolls Of Barbed Wire. Ii. Quotation Must Include Vat, And Delivery Charges. V. Specifications Quantity: 5 Heads (4 Female And 1 Male) Age: Not Less Than 2 Yrs. Old And Not More Than 3 Yrs Old Weight: At Least 150 Kgs. With 9 Pcs Of Barbed Wire 150 Meters/roll. Vi. Delivery Date: The Five (5) Heads Of Cattle Together With 9 Rolls Of Barbed Wire Must Be Delivered Within Last Week Of October 2024 Or Earlier At The Canique, Taytay, Palawan Vii. Approved Budget For The Contract (abc) The Approved Budget For The Contract (abc) Is Two Hundred Fifty-nine Thousand Pesos (php259, 000.00). The Winning Bidder Shall Be Determined Based On The Quotation With Most Advantageous Financial Package Cost, Provided That The Amount Of Bid Does Not Exceed The Above Total Budget. Viii. Payment Terms Winning Bidder Must Be Willing To Provide Services On Send Bill Arrangement. Breakdown Of Expenses Shall Be Reflected On The Sales Invoice In Which It Shall Be Based On The Actual Expenses Incurred, But Not Exceeding The Total Approved Budget.
