The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience as a prime contractor or nominated sub-contractor in the last five years, with quantities of work executed considered. The bidder should have experience of having successfully completed similar works during the last 5 years to the one in which applications are invited. The experience can be either of the following: 1) Three completed works costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of the estimated cost, 2) Two completed works costing not less than the amount equal to 50% of the estimated cost, or 3) One completed work costing not less than the amount equal to 80% of the estimated cost. The value and percentage of similar works completed are mentioned in some cases. For instance, the bidder should have completed at least 20% of the value of similar works in the last five years, with a total value of at least Rs. 20 lakhs. Additionally, substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed as on the date of submission. The Average Annual Financial Turnover During the last Five years should be at least 80% of the estimated cost. The bidder should also provide information on the quantities of work performed, including cement, masonry, earth, bituminous, concrete (including RCC and PCC), and other works. The bidder should also provide details on the employer, contract reference, and remarks. Credit facilities up to 25 percent of the value of the contract may be applied. For joint ventures, the lead partner must meet at least 50 percent of the specified criteria, and the joint venture must collectively satisfy these criteria. Other joint venture partners' experience will be considered if it is not less than 30 percent of the qualifying criteria.
