The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in similar work, with consideration given to the quantities of work executed as a prime contractor or as a nominated sub-contractor. The bidder should have completed works of a similar nature over the last five years. The value and percentage of similar works completed are specified as follows: - The bidder should have completed at least one contract of similar work (Road works) of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five financial years. - The works should be at least 90% completed, and the bidder should have completed 60% of the quantity of principal items of work like concrete, earthwork, masonry, etc. within the last five financial years. - The bidder should have a minimum annual financial turnover in any one year, over the last five years, of the annual value of the contract applied for. - The bidder should demonstrate that they have access to, or have available, liquid assets and/or credit facilities of at least 25 percent of the value of the contract. - The bidder should submit audited balance sheets for the last five years, demonstrating the soundness of their financial position. The bidder should provide details of the works executed, including the name of the work, contract value, billing amount, date of commencement of works, and satisfactory performance of the contractor. The bidder should also provide a certificate from the employer, signed by an officer not below the rank of Executive Engineer (EE). The multiplying factors for the last five years are provided, but no specific amount is specified as a requirement for the value of contracts completed. However, the bidder should provide details of the total value of civil engineering constructions performed in the last five years in Rs. Lakhs.
