The Grande Cache Tourism & Interpretive Centre Is Proposing To Expand Its Building Size To Provide An Extra 3,500 Square Feet To The Main Level, With Approximately 14-18 Feet Building Height, Located Northeast Of The Existing Facility. The Expansion Area Is Required To Be Room Temperature, Humidity, Dust And Ventilated Controlled, Suitable For Supporting Museum Displays. We Are Inviting Respondents To Provide A Quote For Concept Drawings For The Interior And Exterior Of This Proposed Expansion. The Expansion As Noted Is To Be Used For Publicly Displaying Over 100 Taxidermy Items Ranging From Wall Mount To Free Standing Pieces. These Taxidermy Items Range From Small Birds To Large Wildlife Figures, The Intent Is To Display The Taxidermy Items In Their Natural Habitat With Themes For Each Or Combination Of Species To Create A Unique Visitor Experience. The Displays Can Be Behind Glass Or Behind Short Display Walls To Prevent The Public From Interacting With The Displays (please Refer To Pictures Below) As Part Of The Expansion, We Would Like To Consider A Small Theater Room That Seats Approximately 20 People, Using Acoustic Material And Has A Large Screen For Showing Nature Documentaries Or Historical Content Of The Area. Included With The Concept Drawings, A High-level Cost Estimate For The Eventual Construction Of The Expansion Is Required. This Will Be Used For Preparing Budgets That Will Need To Be Approved For The Next Phase Of The Project. Site Visit July 25, 2024, 9am To Noon, Non Mandatory.
