Locally, The Cdc Programme Of Work Is Part Of The National Diagnostics Programme With The Mandate Of Assuring That Every Region Has Access To A Community Diagnostic Centre. It Is A Nationwide Programme Which Spans Across Imaging, Phlebotomy, Endoscopy Services And Physiological Measurements Alongside Expectations On Enablers Including Digital, Workforce Planning And Clinical Pathways. The Cdc Programme Is Expected To Take 5 Years With A National Budget Of £2.3b And Is Led By Nhse With The Aim Of Increasing Diagnostic Capacity In The Community. the Cdc Strategy For The Mid And South Essex Region Will Be Utilise A Hub A Spoke Model With 4 Centres Of Various Sizes Aligned With Our Main Health Economies In Basildon, Southend, Thurrock And Mid Essex. Centres Will Deliver A Range Of Diagnostics Including But Not Limited To; Ct, Mr, Us, Xray, Endoscopy, Phlebotomy, Echocardiography, Ophthalmology And Physiological Measurements.
