Expression of Interests: Preparation of joint basin management plan for the odaw drainage basin Tender Cat: Consultancy services Industry: General The government of ghana has received financing from the world bank toward the cost of the greater accra resilient and integrated development project (garid), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. the project is being implemented through five-interrelated components, namely: 1. climate resilient drainage and flood mitigating activities; 2. solid waste management capacity improvements; 3. participatory upgrading of targeted flood prone low-income communities and local government support; 4. project management; and 5. contingent emergency response component (cerc)-covid-19 emergency preparedness and response project the main objective of the assignment is to develop joint basin management plan for the odaw river basin. this plan will seek to regulate the social, economic, and physical processes that affect the sustainability of the basin. the consulting services ( the services ) include conducting baseline assessment, including current and future water availability, quality and variability, demand, the impact of climate change, and upstream land use and existing infrastructure, for the preparation of an urban watershed management plan, including flood zoning guidelines for the odaw river basin the estimated level of effort (professional staff-months) is 72 staff-months. the duration of the assignment is estimated at 24 months and the assignment is expected to start in october 2021. the detailed terms of reference (tor) for the assignment can be found at the following websites: ppa: http://tenders.Ppa.Gov.Gh/eois and www.Garid-accra.Com or by contacting the email addresses below. the ministry of local government, decentralization and rural development now invites eligible consulting firms ( consultants ) to indicate their interest in providing the services. interested consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the services. the shortlisting criteria are: 1. firm should be legally registered and in good standing. 2. at least 15 years in business. 3. experience in preparation of joint basin management plans. 4. experience in providing services relating to social and environmental assessment. 5. experience in providing consulting services in land use assessment comprising of basin situational analysis, water balance study and simulation model, a structure plan and flood zoning guidelines 6. must have requisite technical and managerial capability. . key experts will not be evaluated at the shortlisting stage. the attention of interested consultants is drawn to section iii, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the world bank’s procurement regulations for ipf borrowers july 2016 revised november 2017 and august 2018 ( procure WORLD BANK (WB),
