The required prior work experience for the bidder includes a minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering for a degree holder and a diploma holder. The bidder should have experience in similar work, and for sub-contractors, experience in similar work is also required. For specific positions like Project Manager, Construction Engineer, and Material and Quality Control Engineer, experience in general and in the proposed position is required. As for the value and percentage of similar works completed, the bidder should have completed works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years. The bidder should have achieved a minimum financial turnover of at least the amount equal to the estimated cost of works, excluding maintenance cost for five years, with an index rate of 8 percent for a year. The bidder should have completed similar works with a value of at least one-third of the estimated cost of the work for which the bid is invited. The bidder should provide information on the total value of civil engineering construction work executed and payments received in the last five years, as well as work performed as prime contractor on works of a similar nature over the last five years. The bidder should also provide quantities of work executed as prime contractor in the last five years, including earthworks, granular sub-base and base, and plant mix paver laid bituminous work. The bidder needs to have a minimum amount of liquid assets and/or credit facilities net of other contractual commitments of 10% of the contract value. The bidder's available bid capacity for construction work should be equal to or more than the total bid value, calculated based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the price level of the last year at the rate of 8 percent a year.
