Contract notice: high-performance mass spectrometer for proteome analysis 1 piece nano-uhplc mass spectrometerthe aim of the procurement is the technological expansion of the high-performance mass spectrometry at the igz for the proteome analysis of vegetable plants. novel mass spectrometric technologies enable the highly sensitive and robust detection and quantification of proteins in complex biological samples. for this purpose, a nano uplc (ultra performance liquid chromatography)-coupled hybrid mass spectrometer is to be integrated into the existing mass spectrometric instrumentation in order to offer a unique platform for proteome analysis in basic and application-oriented research projects. this mass spectrometer should allow proteomic analysis with high ion resolution, mass accuracy, measurement speed and a high dynamic range. to increase the separation performance, this mass spectrometer should be able to separate isobaric ions via ion mobility spectrometry and thus add another dimension to ion separation. this should allow the analytes to be separated not only on the basis of their retention time during liquid chromatography and their charge during mass spectrometric analysis, but also on the basis of their shape (impact cross-section) by fractionation in the gas phase before entering the mass spectrometer. this coupling is the latest generation of mass spectrometers for proteome analysis and, thanks to the high measurement accuracy, allows particularly small amounts of sample, such as those used in single-cell analyses, subcellular proteome analyzes or the characterization of post-translational protein modifications.
