Where: A = Maximum Value of Civil Engineering works executed in any one year during the last Five years N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the works B = Value of existing commitments Alternatively, the bidder can also meet the bid capacity requirement by having: - Two Similar completed work costing not less than the amount equal to 50% of the estimated cost - One Similar completed work costing not less than the amount equal to 80% of the estimated cost The bid capacity can also be calculated based on the estimated cost of the work and the bidder's financial and experience qualifications. To calculate the minimum turnover required: - 30% of the COST OF WORK (without G.S.T.) = 0.3 * 407.89 lac = Rs. 122.367 lac For similar work experience, the calculation depends on the estimated cost of the work: - 40% of the estimated cost for three works = 0.4 * 407.89 lac = Rs. 163.156 lac - 50% of the estimated cost for two works = 0.5 * 407.89 lac = Rs. 203.945 lac - 80% of the estimated cost for one work = 0.8 * 407.89 lac = Rs. 326.312 lac Thus, the bid capacity required involves both a financial component (average annual turnover of at least 122,367,000 INR) and an experience component (completion of similar works with values as calculated above). The bid capacity required in terms of financial turnover and experience in similar works can be summarized as: - Average annual turnover of at least 12,236,700 INR or 122,367,000 INR over the last three years. - Experience in similar works with values as specified above (16,315,600 INR or 163,156,000 INR for three works, 20,394,500 INR or 203,945,000 INR for two works, or 32,631,200 INR or 326,312,000 INR for one work).
