The bid capacity required in the given tender to bid is calculated using the formula: (2AN-B) and should be greater than the Estimated Value of the work. Here, A = Maximum Value of Civil Engineering works executed in any one year during the last Five years ending 31st March of the previous financial year 2024 (updated by giving 8% simple weightage per year to bring them to Current Financial Year price level) taking into account the completed as well as works in progress. N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the works for which tenders are invited.(period up to 6 months to be taken as half-year and more than 6 months as one year). B = Value of existing commitments i.e. agreemented works with agreement number & year and ongoing works with agreement number & year to be completed during the period of completion of the project for which tenders are invited. Additionally, the bid capacity required can also be related to the turnover and financial soundness of the bidder, with a specific formula provided for the turnover aspect: - Average Annual Turnover (last 3 years) ≥ 0.3 * Cost of Work And for similar work experience, the bidder must meet one of the following conditions: - 3 works ≥ 0.4 * Estimated Cost - 2 works ≥ 0.5 * Estimated Cost - 1 work ≥ 0.8 * Estimated Cost The bid capacity is also dependent on the qualifying criteria mentioned, including financial soundness and similar work experience.
