The bid capacity required includes both financial capacity and technical capacity. Financial capacity is determined by: - Minimum Turnover: 30% of the COST OF WORK (without G.S.T.) - Financial Soundness: Demonstrated through audited financial statements and tax returns. Technical capacity is determined by: - Similar Work Experience: Meets one of the specified value criteria for similar works completed in the last 7 years, with an 8% simple weightage per year for experience. The criteria include: - Three Similar completed works costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost. - Or, Two Similar completed works costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost. - Or, One Similar completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost. Alternatively, the bid capacity can also be determined by the formula: 2AN - B, where - A = Maximum Value of Civil Engineering works executed in any one year during the last Five years - N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the works - B = Value of existing commitments. The bidder should have the Assessed available Bid capacity as per the given formula should be greater than the Estimated Value of the work.
