Irrigation Department Tender

The bid capacity required in the given tender to bid is calculated using the formula: 2AN - B > Estimated cost of works. Where: - A = Maximum Value of Civil Engineering works executed in any one year during the last Five years (updated to Current Financial Year price level) taking into account the completed as well as works in progress. - N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the works for which tenders are invited. - B = Value of existing commitments, works under consideration, work tendered for and ongoing works to be completed during the period of completion of the project for which tenders are invited. This formula determines if the bidder has the required bid capacity to participate in the tender, with the condition that 2AN - B should be greater than the Estimated cost of works. A certificate from a competent Chartered Accountant is required to verify this calculation.
