The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 years: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, (iii) One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. Additionally, the bidder should have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be executed, in the last 5 years. For subletting of work, the subcontractor shall have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years, except for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, where no previous work experience is required. The similar work is defined as complete wiring works including installation of at least four specific equipment pertaining to any type of Rolling Stock of Indian Railways, or manufacture and supply of specific panels/harness for any type of Rolling Stock of Indian Railways.
