The works mainly include: (a) design and construction of 46 lifts at 30 walkways located in Central and Western District, Kowloon City, Kwai Tsing, Kwun Tong, Wong Tai Sin, Sai Kung, Southern District, and Yau Tsim Mong; (b) design and construction of a walkway cover of about 100 metres long connecting United Christian Hospital at footpath of Sau Mau Ping Road Westbound; (c) design and construction of a covered elevated walkway of about 50 metres long connecting a proposed lift tower for the existing footbridge (Structure no. KT06) to Sau Ming Road Park; and (d) associated civil works, geotechnical works, electrical and mechanical works, modification works for the existing walkways, roads and drainage works, lighting works and landscaping works. The works are scheduled to commence in April 2023 and will take about 39 months to complete.
