This Advert Is Intended To Notify Potential Suppliers Of The Upcoming Tender For Gloucester City Centre Cycle Spine Cycleway Scheme. The Site Is Found To The City Centre Area Covering Northgate Street, Southgate Street, Llanthony Link Road And St Ann Way With Trier Way Junction. This Is Part Of A Bigger Scheme To Address The Needs Of Pedestrians And Cyclists Currently Trying To Use Different Types Of Active Transportation In The Heart Of Gloucester. The Overall Scheme Will Implement A Continuous Cycleway For Cyclists Of All Ages And Abilities Between The Main Hubs Of The City Centre And Docks And Quays Area, Utilising Northgate Street, Llanthony Link Road, Southgate Street And The Junction On St Ann Way And Trier Way. This Contract Is Looking For A Principal Contractor To Deliver The Construction Phase Of Gloucester City Centre Cycle Spine Cycleway Scheme. Construction Phase Key Deliverables Are As Follows: • Provide Suitable Traffic Management During The Construction Works. • Pedestrian Access To Residents Always During The Construction Works. • Utility Diversion Works (being Arranged By Gcc For Pc To Liaise/accommodate). • New Drainage Works And Tie-in To Existing. • A Mixture Of Segregated Footway / Cycleway Track And New Shared Use Path Construction. • Remove Existing And Install New Kerbs To Match New Alignment. • Junction’s Realignments And New Signals • New Pedestrian/cyclist Crossings. • Carriageway Surfacing Repairs And Reprofiling • Highway Link Road Hemmingsdale To Sudmeadow Road( Off Llanthony Road) A Summary Of The Outline Programme For The Scheme Is Shown Below: Tender Period: Monday 4th March 2024 – 4th April 2024 At 12.00 Noon Award: Friday 10th May 2024 Anticipated Works Start Date: Monday 10th June 2024 Completion: Friday 28th March 2025 Overall Duration: 49 Weeks Approx Indicative Value: £2.75m The Proposed Procurement Route Will Be A Single Stage (open Procedure) Using The Nec4 Ecc Form Of Contract, Option A Priced Contract With Activity Schedule. Tender Submissions Will Be Evaluated On A 70:30 Price / Quality Split. 15% Of The Quality Weighting Will Be Assigned To Social Value, Which Will Be Evaluated Via The Social Value Portal.
