Engagement Of Consultant For The Comprehensive Assessment Of Gaps In Hiv Testing And The Analysis Of Issues Resulting In Low Linkage To Hiv Treatment In Ghana. The Government Of Ghana Through The Ministry Of Health/ Ghana Health Service (ghs) Has Received The Global Fund’s New Funding Model To Support The Implementation Of The National Hiv/aids Control Programme (nacp) Activities Within The Current Strategic Plan, 2021-2025. According To The 2021 Spectrum Estimates, Ghana Had An Estimated 345, 599 People Living With Hiv With 32% Being Men. Of The 16,938 Estimated New Infections For 2021; 5,564 (33%) Were Men. In Terms Of Aids-related Deaths, 4,621 (47%) Of The Estimated 9,859 Were Men. Hiv Service Coverage Among Men Has Been Low Over The Years. According To Figures Available For 2021, Only 61 % Out Of The Total Estimated Men Living With Hiv (mlhiv) Knew Their Status. This Indicates A Gap Of 34%, To Be Filled In Order To Achieve And Exceed The First 95% Target Of The Unaids 95-95-95 Target In Ghana. To Enable Ghs And Nacp Appreciate The Magnitude Of The Problem, The Technical Support Is Being Sought From Applicants Or Consultants To Undertake A Study To Assess The Factors Associated With The Low Linkage Of Hiv Positive Clients To Arvs Also To Undertake A Detailed Analysis Of Gaps In Hiv Testing To Find Additional Men Living With Hiv In Ghana Considering The Various Approaches To Hiv Testing. Knowledge Of These Factors Are Programmatically Important Because It Will Help Ghs/nacp To Re-direct And Re-design Its Focus To Improve Linkage Of Plhiv Into Arvs. This Knowledge Will Further Improve The Readiness Of The Data On Linkage To Care For Use In Formulating Appropriate Policies, By Providing Invaluable Insights For Service Providers And Policy Makers And Ultimately, Increase The Linkage To Care Rate Among Plhiv In Ghana Lot 1 - Comprehensive Assessment Of Gaps In Hiv Testing Lot 2 - Analysis Of Issues Resulting In Low Linkage To Hiv Treatment
