Aquiis Comprises A Set Of Highly Customized And Complex Applications Which Are The Primary Systems Used By The Pacific Region Aquaculture Management Division And The National Aquaculture Directorate. These Systems Fulfil A Wide Range Of Key Business Goals And Objectives, Such As, But Not Limited To, The Issuance Of Aquaculture Licences, Monitoring Client Service Standards, Industry Submitted Condition Of Licence Reports And Data, And Tracking Compliance And Enforcement Information. Aquiis Uses Microsoft Sharepoint 2010 As A Document Management / Workflow Tool. To Ensure That The Fishing Industry And General Public Are Aware Of And Can Comply With The Regulations, One Of Fris’ Roles Is The Effective Communication Of These Regulations Such As Such As Fishing Seasons (open/closed Times), Legal Gear Specification, Species Size (indicating Age) Or Sex, And Daily Catch Quotas Which Vary By Ocean, Fishing Zone, And Species.
