The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing certain categories of work during the last 7 years. The categories are: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, (iii) One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. Additionally, for subcontracting, the subcontractor shall have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed or subcontract in last 5 years, costing not less than 35% value of the work to be subletted. The total value of work to be assigned to sub-contractor(s) shall not be more than 50% of total contract value. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of subcontractor shall be asked for. A work experience certificate from a government department or a public listed company with an average annual turnover of Rs 500 crore and above in the last 3 financial years can be considered. The company must be listed on the National Stock Exchange or Bombay Stock Exchange and registered at least 5 years back from the date of submission of the proposal by the Contractor. The required prior work experience for the bidder also includes submission of details of works completed, including the name of the work, value of the work, name of the client, and documentary proof of completion. The bidder is also required to submit details of works on hand and a broad plan of execution of the work within the stipulated completion period. The specific values and percentages mentioned are: - 30% of the advertised value of the tender - 40% of the advertised value of the tender - 60% of the advertised value of the tender - 35% value of the work to be subletted - Rs 50 lakh for subletting of work with no previous work experience required - Rs 500 crore average annual turnover for public listed companies.
