The required prior work experience for the bidder is related to similar nature of work, which includes description of work, organization for whom executed, approximate value of contract at the time of award, date of award and date of scheduled completion of work, date of actual start, actual date of completion, and final value of contract at the time of bill finalisation. The tenderer must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during last 07 (seven) years: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 30% of advertised value of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of advertised value of the tender, or (iii) One similar work costing not less than the amount equal to 60% of advertised value of the tender. In case of composite works, the tenderer must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during last 07 (seven) years: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 30% of advertised value of each component of tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of advertised value of each component of tender, or (iii) One similar work each costing not less than the amount equal to 60% of advertised value of each component of tender. The values and percentages mentioned are: - 30% of advertised value of the tender (for three similar works) - 40% of advertised value of the tender (for two similar works) - 60% of advertised value of the tender (for one similar work) - 30% of advertised value of each component of tender (for three similar works in composite works) - 40% of advertised value of each component of tender (for two similar works in composite works) - 60% of advertised value of each component of tender (for one similar work in composite works) Additionally, the subcontractor must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. The required prior work experience for the bidder is also mentioned in terms of average annual contractual turnover. The tenderer must have a minimum average annual contractual turnover of V/N or V, whichever is less, where V is the advertised value of the tender in crores of Rupees and N is the number of years prescribed for completion of work. The average annual contractual turnover shall be calculated as an average of "total contractual payments" in the previous three financial years, as per the audited balance sheet.
