The required prior work experience for the bidder includes completion of similar nature of work. The bidder must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 years: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, or (iii) One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. For composite works, the bidder must have completed: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, or (iii) One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. The bidder should submit a list of completed works for similar nature of work, which includes description of work, organization for whom executed, approximate value of contract at the time of award, date of award, date of scheduled completion of work, date of actual start, actual date of completion, and final value of contract at the time of bill finalization. In case of subcontractors, they must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. The tenderer having done more value of similar nature work in the last three previous years and the current financial year up to the date of opening of the tender may be selected for the award. The average annual contractual turnover shall be calculated as an average of "total contractual payments" in the previous three financial years.
