The Naval Air Systems Command (navair) Intends To Issue A Sole Source Follow-on Modification To Fn Herstal, S.a., To Procure Additional Quantities Of 5k And 10k Prp Kits In Support Of The Gau-21 .50 Caliber Machine Guns.  Specifically, This Modification Will Increase The Maximum Quantity Of 5k Prp Kits To 70 Units Per Ordering Period For Ordering Period Years Iii-v And The Maximum Quantity Of 10k Prp Kits To 50 Units Per Ordering Period For Ordering Period Years Iii-v.  Navair Intends To Increase The Ceiling And Quantities Under The Existing Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (id/iq) Contract, N00019-19-d-0016.  The Resultant Modification With Be Firm Fixed Price (ffp). the Proposed Contract Action Is For Supplies That The Government Intends To Solicit And Negotiate With Only One Source Under The Authority At Far 6.302-1, “only One Responsible Source And No Other Type Of Supplies Or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.”  this Notice Of Intent Is Not A Request For Competitive Proposals.  however, All Responsible Sources May Submit A Capability Statement, Proposal, Or Quotation Prior To The Closing Date This Synopsis, Which Shall Be Considered By The Agency.  A Determination By The Government Not To Compete This Proposed Contract Action Based Upon Responses To This Notice Is Solely Within The Discretion Of The Government.
