Background And Project Description The Department Of Tourism (dot) Stages The Philippine International Dive Expo (phidex), The Country’s Largest Platform For The Diving Community, On February 23 – 25, 2024 At The World Trade Center (wtc) In Pasay, Manila. It Is The Philippines’ Largest Platform For The Diving Community Since 2019, Mobilizing Industry Experts, Stakeholders And Dive Enthusiasts In One Communal Space To Foster The Collaboration Of Innovative Ideas, Sustainable Solutions, And Economic Opportunities. Phidex Is The Only Dive Show In The World That Combines In One Event A Dive Travel Exchange (travex), A Business-to-business (b2b) Meeting Program For Local And International Dive Operators, Dive Conference And Seminars, And Familiarization Tours To Top And Emerging Philippine Dive Destinations. Exhibition Booths Will Showcase Dive Resorts And Centers In Different Destinations, As Well As Top-rated Dive Gear And Equipment. The Event Offers Expansive Networking Prospects For Decision Makers, Communities, And Individuals With A Passion For All Things Diving. Through Conferences, Participants Will Also Have A Chance To Learn About New Dive Destinations Developed During The Pandemic, Product Updates From Key Dive Destinations, As Well As Up-to-date Underwater Photography Gear Showcases. International Dive Operators Will Also Get To Inspect And Assess Top And Emerging Dive Destinations Such As Anilao, Bohol, Camiguin, Coron, Dumaguete, Malapascua, Moalboal, Puerto Galera, Southern Leyte, And Ticao Island Through Familiarization Tours. Ingress For The Exhibition Is Scheduled On 22 February 2024. V. Event Components Dive Exhibition The Dot Region Iv – A (calabarzon) Were Given Nine (9) X Six (6) Meter Booth Allotted For Dive Operators And Enterprises In The Region. The Fifty-four (54) Sqm. Calabarzon Booth Will Include A General Information Counter For Dive Travel Related Inquiries And One-stop-shop For Dot And Pcssd Accreditation Concerns, And A Lounge For Meetings Between Dot And Relevant Stakeholders. Booths For Exhibitors Of Dive Tourism Products And Services Such As Dive Resorts And Dive Centers From Various Destinations From The Region, Dive Equipment Manufacturers, Underwater Photography Gear Distributors, And Marine Conservation Organizations Are Invited To Represent Diving In Calababarzon Region. Dive Travel Exchange (travex) The Main Draw Of Phidex Is The Dive Travel Exchange (travex), A Business-to-business (b2b) Program That Gathers Over One Hundred (100) Trade Participants Including Philippine Dive Sellers And International Dive Operators In One Venue To Meet And Discuss Business. The Dive Travex B2b Meetings Are Pre-scheduled And Determined By Participants Through An Online Appointment Scheduling Application. This Ensures That Trade Participants Can Set Quality Meetings Based On Their Preferences And Are Able To Maximize Their Available Meeting Times. Each Travex Participant Will Have 10 To 15 Meeting Slots Per Day With Each B2b Meeting Slot Running For 15 Minutes. International Speakers Will Also Be Invited To Present On Sustainable Blue Economy And Best Dive Practices From Other Destinations As A Benchmarking Activity For Philippine Operators. Vi. Rationale Of The Project Themed “heart Of Asia’s Diving: Collaboration For The Ocean Community,” The Fourth Edition Of Phidex Will Specifically Showcase The Philippines’ Competitive Edge As A Diving Destination For Adventurers And Enthusiasts Alike. It Will Also Provide An Avenue For Stakeholders To Connect, Network, And Generate Investments For Local And International Experts To Share Industry Knowledge As Well As Best Sustainable Practices For Ocean Tourism In A Global Context. Diving Is Also A Key Priority For The Dot As Part Of Its Multi-dimensional Tourism Approach, Evident Through Its Series Of Successful Dive-related Initiatives Launched Across The Country. These Included The Anilao Underwater Shootout In Batangas, And The Inaugural Philippine Tourism Dive Dialogue Held In Cebu Last September, Among Others. For The Exhibition Component Of Phidex 2024, The Dot Has Partnered With Underwater 360, Organizer Of The Asia Dive Expo (adex), The Longest-running And Largest Dive Expo In Asia. Over 100 Exhibitors, Representing Dive Resorts, Dive Shops, Training Agencies, Insurance Companies, Equipment Manufacturers, Marine Conservation Associations, And National Tourism Organizations Are Expected To Join The Expo. Further, The Objectives Of The Phidex Are The Following: 1. Back To Business – Provide A Venue For Philippine Sellers To Generate Sales And Business Leads From B2b Opportunities With International Dive Operators And Revive The Country’s Standing As The Leading Dive Travel Business Hub In Asia. 2. Scope Of Price Proposal And Schedule Of Payment 1. The Project Will Run In Four Days, To Commence Upon The Receipt Of The Notice To Proceed. 2. The Approved Budget Of Contract (abc) Is One Hundred Sixty-eight Thousand Pesos (php 168,000.00) Inclusive Of All Applicable Taxes, Agency Service Fees, Bank Charges, And Other Fees As May Be Incurred In The Process. A. The Compensation To Be Paid For The Winning Bidder Shall Be Paid In Send-billing Arrangement (after The Conduct Of The Event). B. Must Have Free Cancellation, Rebooking, Transferable Or Refundable Policies Due To Travel Restrictions Based On Resolutions And Pronouncements Made By The Iatf, Philippine Government Or Concerned Local Government Units. Ii. Qualifications 1. The Agency Must Be A Full-service Dot – Accredited Tour Operator That Is Duly Established In The Philippines With The Required Manpower/personnel And Staff. 2. The Agency Must Have Been In Existence For At Least Two (2) Years With Experience In Travel And Tour Management. Iii. Terms And Conditions 1. Segment(s) Or Phase(s) Of The Project Not Implemented For Whatever Reason Shall Be Revised/modified By The Winning Bidder At No Cost On The Part Of Dot For The Purpose Of Translating Said Segment(s) Or Phase(s) For Future Implementation. 2. The Selected Full Service Winning Agency Shall Be Subject To Assessment Of The Dot As To The Success Of The Project Launched. 3. The Dot Reserves The Right To Change, Suspend, Or Discontinue Temporarily Or Permanently The Contract At Any Time Should The Dot Deemed The Agency Incapable Of The Project.
