Description Project: Wsl La Union International Pro 2024 Requirement: Procurement For Events Management Services I. Background And Objective The Department Of Tourism Region 1 Has Renewed Its Support To The World Surf League (wsl), Through The United Philippines Surfing Association (upsa) As They Bring Once Again To Region 1 The Wsl La Union International Pro 2024. Wsl, A Global Organization Establishing Surfing Events Worldwide And Developed The International Ranking System For Surfing, Through Upsa, The National Governing Body Of Surfing In The Country As Recognized By The Philippine Sports Commission (psc) And A Regular Member Of The Philippine Olympic Committee (poc), Will Run Their Regional Qualifying Series For Surfing Competitors To Earn Points And Qualify For The Wsl Challenger Series And Championship Tour, Which Is A Crucial Step To Enter The Olympic Games. This Event Will Bring About Two Hundred Fifty (250) Surf Competitors From Foreign Countries Such As Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, China, United States, South America, And Australia. The Competition Which Will Run For Seven (7) Days In January 2024 Including Other Activities Such As Welcome/ Opening Program And Closing/ Awarding Ceremonies, Tourism Product Displays And Tour Assistance Help Desks. Taking From Last Year’s Successful Implementation Of The Event And The Positive Impact It Marked In The Province Of La Union And In The Region, The Dot Region 1 Has Committed Its Funding And Manpower To Assist In The Implementation And Facilitation Of The Related Activities Of The Said Event With The Main Objective To Put The Province As A Major Surfing Hub In The Asia Pacific Region. Furthermore, Supporting An International Activity Such As The Wsl Aims To Achieve The Following:  To Expand The Economic Opportunity And Benefit Of Staging International Events To Local Stakeholders  To Promote Other Tourism Products And Circuits In The Province Of La Union As Well As Nearby Provinces In Relation To This, The Department Of Tourism Region 1 Requires The Services Of An Event Organizer To Assist The Dot Region 1 In The Management And Facilitation Of The Event And Its Various Activities Including Provision Of The Various Logistical Requirements For The Duration Of The Event. Duration: January 22-28, 2024 Outputs:  Photo & Video Coverage Of Scheduled Daily Activities  1 Full Documentation Avp Of The Whole Event  1 3-5 Minute Avp Of Competition Highlights & Other Activities To Be Shown/ Played During The Closing/ Awarding Ceremonies Event Coordinator And Standby Crew Event Coordinator Or Focal Person Working In Close Coordination With The Dot Project Officer Standby Technician, Staff/ Crew To Maintain & Operate Equipment And Assist In The Facilitation. The Service Provider May Refer To The Attached Competition Area Lay-out For Better Appreciation And Understanding Of The Set-up And Manpower Requirement. The Service Provider Shall Also Work In Close Coordination With The Dot Region 1 Project Team In The Delivery Of Required Services. All Lay-out, Styling, Arrangements And Other Deliverables Shall Be Approved By The Dot Project Team First Prior To Execution. Iii. Approved Budget Of The Contract The Approved Budget Of The Contract Is Nine Hundred Ninety-nine Thousand Nine Hundred Pesos Only (php 999,900.00) – Inclusive Of Tax.
