Description Project: Requirement: I. Local Tourism Development Plan Formulation Workshop Part 1 For Ilocos Norte (1st District) Procurement Of Ground Handling Services Background And Objectives In Line With The Department Of Tourism’s Mandate On Local Tourism Development Planning As Indicted In The Republic Act 9593 Sections 35-37, The Department Of Tourism Regional Office 1 Has Allotted Its Resources To Provide Technical Assistance In The Preparation And Monitoring Of Local Tourism Development Plans Of Some Selected Municipalities In The Region To Ensure The Integration And Alignment To Local And National Plans For Tourism Development. Furthermore, The Said Program Is Also In Response To The Request Of Several Local Government Units In Need For Technical Guidance In Crafting Their Local Tourism Plans Has Become One Of The Main Requirements For Tourism In The Seal Of Good Local Governance Assessment Conducted By The Department Of Interior And Local Government As Well As The Tourism Road Infrastructure Project Convergence (tripc) Of The Department Of Tourism And The Department Of Public Works And Highways. The Technical Assistance On The Formulation Of Local Tourism Development Plans Usually Runs For 3-4 Months And Involves Series Of Activities That The Lgus Need To Participate And Complete. It Includes Two (2) Separate Workshop Sessions With An Interval Of One (1) To Two (2) Months For Consultation, Data Gathering And Writing Activities Of The Lgu’s Local Tourism Development Planning Committees Leading To The Finalization And Approval Of The Actual Plan. The First Part Of The Planning Process Involves Initial Data Gathering By The Lgus, Tourism Site Inspections And A Four-day Workshop Session Which Will Be Conducted By The Department Of Tourism Region 1 Together With Invited Lecturers And Facilitators This July. For The Province Of Ilocos Norte, The Dot Region 1 Have Received Requests For Assistance From The Following Lgus: 1. Municipality Of Pagudpud 2. Municipality Of Dumalneg 3. Municipality Of Pasuquin At The End Of The Workshop Implementation, The Lgus Should Be Able To:  Understand The Concept Of Sustainable Development Planning In Local Tourism Destinations  Know The Process Of Formulating The Local Tourism Development Plan  Learn The Suggested Contents Of A Local Tourism Development Plan And How To Accomplish Some Recommended Forms And Templates  Draft The Initial Part Of The Local Tourism Development Plan This Procurement Pertains To The Implementation Of The Ltdp Formulation Workshop Part 1 For 2nd District Of Ilocos Norte Requiring For The Services Of A Ground Handler To Provide The Logistical Requirements For Its Facilitation Including But Not Limited To Provision Of Transportation, Meals And Accommodation Among Others.
