The bid capacity required in the given tender to bid can be calculated using the formula: Assessed Available Bid Capacity = (A* N* 2 - B) Where: A = Maximum value of Civil Engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the price level of the Financial year in which bids are received. N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the Project/Works for which these bids are being invited. B = Value of existing commitments on the last date of submission of bids, updated to the price level of the year indicated in the bidding document. The available bid capacity should be more than the estimated value of the project/work. Additionally, the bid capacity requirements include: - Minimum annual financial turnover: 40% of the estimated cost of work - Similar work experience: - One work of value not less than 80% of the estimated cost of work - Two works each of value not less than 50% of the estimated cost of work - Three works each of value not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work - Minimum cash investment: 25% of the contract value of work For specific contracts, the bid capacity requirements are as follows: - For the first contract with an estimated amount of 108.01 Lacs: - One similar work of value not less than 80% of the estimated cost of work, which is Rs.86.40 Lacs. - Two similar works each of value not less than 50% of the estimated cost of work, which is Rs.54.00 Lacs each. - Three similar works each of value not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work, which is Rs.43.20 Lacs each. - For the second contract with an estimated amount of 131.40 Lacs: - One similar work of value not less than 80% of the estimated cost of work, which is Rs.105.12 Lacs. - Two similar works each of value not less than 50% of the estimated cost of work, which is Rs.65.70 Lacs each. - Three similar works each of value not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work, which is Rs.52.56 Lacs each. The bidder should also have a minimum turnover of 40% of the estimated contract value and minimum liquid assets and/or availability of credit facilities of 25% of the estimated contract value.
