Tenders are invited for Lease for Cleaning and Maintenance Services for Toilet at Murhanda Market, Kakamega Municipality, Kakamega County Maintenance The lessee shall be responsible for: i) Providing all equipment (brooms, brushes, dusters, mops, buckets, vacuum-cleaners, buffing machines, etc.) required for the efficient management of the facility. ii) Repairing and replacing tiles, taps, toilets, cisterns, hand washing-basins and all other appliances in the facility. iii) Repainting of the interior and exterior surfaces of the facility with the appropriate paint colors and with the directions and supervision of the Municipal Engineer or Authorized officers of the Municipality. Repainting should be done at least once a year. 3. Operations i) The lessee shall be responsible of collecting and keeping record of the daily collections from the facility. ii) The lessee shall charge at least Ksh. 10 and Ksh. 5 per adult and kids per visit respectively. Further, Ksh.50 and Ksh. 30 shall be charged for a hot or cold shower. CLEANING The lessee shall be responsible for: i) Providing and emptying of all waste/sanitary-bins in the facility and disposing of waste in an appropriate manner as per the Waste Management Regulations 2009. ii) Washing and cleaning and disinfecting of tiled surfaces in all the areas within the facility including vanity slabs, wash-basins, urinals, mirrors, and tabs in the facility. iii) Replenishing soap, paper toweling and toilet paper in all toilets. iv) Ensuring the toilets are regularly cleaned and kept tidy at all times. v) Ensuring the septic tanks is emptied on time at his/her own cost to avoid spillage and
