The required prior work experience for the bidder includes the completion of similar type of work, such as construction of earthwork and concrete lining. The bidder should have completed previously at least one work of similar nature and complexity comparable to this work. The cost of 30% of similar type of work, i.e., construction of earthwork and lining in one single work, should be a minimum of Rs. 212.086 Lakhs. As a prime contractor, the contractor should have executed Construction of Earthwork & Concrete Lining of minimum quantities of the following items in a single year during the last five years: - Cement concrete Lining: 1037 Cum (which is 30% of 3458 Cum) - Earthwork: 13479 Cum (which is 30% of 44929 Cum) - Excavation: 11177 Cum (which is 30% of 37257 Cum) The bidder's annual turnover in any one year during the last five years should be equal to or more than 75% of the annual cost put to tender, which is Rs. 265.11 Lakhs. The annual cost put to tender is calculated as the amount put to tender divided by the completion period of the tender in years, which is 353.475 lakhs. The minimum required turnover is 75% of this value. The bidder needs to provide details of quantities executed and amount of works (completed and ongoing) for the last five years, as well as information about their annual turnover and financial turnover for each of the last five years. The bidder is also required to provide information about the similar type of work carried out by them, including the agreement number, amount of work done, date of completion, and concerned executive engineer's office. The bidder should have experience in monthly placement of important items such as Cement Concrete, Steel Reinforcement, Excavation, and Embankment, and should have experience in mobilizing large value contracts with modern technology and the deployment of latest heavy construction equipment. The bidder's experience and capacity are also evaluated based on their bid capacity, which is calculated as (A x N x 2) - B, where A is the value of ongoing works, B is the value of completed works, and N is the number of years. The bid capacity is then compared to the cost of the work put to tender.
