Colliers Project Leaders Is Seeking Prime Consultant To Complete The Study At Ottawa Carleton Detention Centre. The Project Is To Take Place At Administration Building- Ottawa Carleton Detention Center, Ottawa. The Building (b17875) Has A Total Estimated Area Of Approximately 16,306 Sf. • The Intent Of This Study Is To Carry Out A Hw Distribution System (heating) Study At The Administration Building At Ottawa-carleton Detention Centre In Ottawa, On. • The Study Is To Provide A Detailed Analysis Of The Current State Of The Hot Water Distribution System Including The Piping, Perimeter Rads, Unit Heaters And All Its Related Equipment/components, Its Condition, And Recommend Optimal Mitigation Strategy (repair Or Renewal) Options That Will Align With The 10-year Capital Plan. • Investigation To Include A Review Of All Components Including, But Not Limited To, Valves, Couplings, Unions, Safety Reliefs, Pumps, Chemical Feed Station, And Associated Insulation And Pipe Work. • Test Results Shall Define The Condition Of All Pipes, Perimeter Rads And Unit Heaters Based On % Degradation, Test Pressure Points Strategically Throughout The Building To Ensure Adequate Pressure Is Provided, And Identify Locations Where Deficiencies Are Found. • Calculate The Flow Rates For Each Of The Pumps That Are In Operation At The Time Of The Study, Compare Them With The Design Flow Rates And Make Recommendations Accordingly. Provide The Calculations In The Report. • Project Specific Dss Is Required, And Cash Allowance Has Been Provided. • Consultant To Recommend Destructive Testing Plan Of Approach After Visual Inspection. The Plan Of Approach Is Expected To Show Locations Where Each Instrusive/destructive Test Is Being Recommended. Locations Must Come With An Explanation To Validate Chosen Points. • Destructive Testing To Take Place Only After The Approval Of The Consultants Proposed Plan Of Approach By Solgen And Io. The Consultant Is To Carry Out Ultrasonic Testing To Determine The Condition And Integrity Of The Piping System. A Total Of 2 Locations Are To Be Tested Using Ultrasonic Testing Methodologies In Addition To Visual Test And Ultrasonic Testing, The Consultant Shall Provide Destructive Testing (cut Test) For Up To Two (2) Points Along The Piping In The System, To Determine The Condition And Integrity Of The Piping System. Cleanup And Restoration Are Required On Any Damaged Wall/floor Sections, Upon Completion Of All Destructive Testing. Cash Allowance Has Been Provided For The Intrusive Testing Work If Required. Consultant Is Required To Fill Out The Recommendation Needs Template (rnt) And Submit With Each Draft Report Submission. • All Recommendations And Options Will Give Reference To The Latest Ontario Building Code, , And Any Other Applicable Codes. • When The Study Has Been Completed It Must Be Emailed To Iostudies@bgis.com • Ops And Crjmc Security Clearances Are Required

The Scope Of Work Is For Construction Services For Bundled Projects 1095766 Emdc Kitchen Reno (273452) And 1095765 Emdc Kitchen Reno Ffe (273453). The Rft Will Be Awarded To One General Contractor For Both Projects. Separate Po’s Will Be Issued For Each Project. The Bid Documents Will Be Issued To Contractors For Both Projects Combined. Upgrade Of Existing Electrical System As Per Tender Documents To Meet Code Requirements And Support New Equipment. Modify Existing And Provide New Plumbing Fixture And Plumbing Service To Serve New Retherm Kitchen. Modify Existing Ahu And Provide New Distribution System Complete With Associated Equipment, Ducts And Dampers For The Kitchen Area. Infill All Unused Existing Opening In Roof Slab. Pre- And Post-construction Air-balanccing, Testing And Adjustments. Removal Of Existing Masonry Walls To Facilitate Installation Of New Fridges. Removal Of Existing Finishes Including Existing Floor Finishes, Wall Tiles And Solid Ceiling And Replace With New Finishes Throughout The Kitchen Area And The Chef’s Office, Use Room And Washroom As Specified In Tender Documents. Structural Reconfiguration To Accommodate New Equipment On Roof And New Masonry Walls In The Kitchen. Abatement Of Designated Substances As Per Dss Report And Specifications. Installation Of Temporary Rethem Kitchen In Pc Dormitory Room In Ric Building As Indicated On The Tender Documents. Reconfiguration Of The Washroom To Accommodate Temporary Washing Area And Washroom. This Project Includes The Labour And Installation Of The Labour And Material Of Equipment That Is Not Capitalized. 1095765 Emdc Kitchen Reno Ffe (273453): The Scope Of Work Is For The Ffe Portion Of The Kitchen Renovation Including The Following: Supply, Installation And Commencement Of New Kitchen Equipment As Specified In Tender Document Including But Not Limited To: Four (4) New Walk-in Refrigerators And One (1) New Walk-in Freezer Complete, Compressors And Refrigeration System, Dishwashing Machine, Washing Sinks And Drying Racks, Mobile Rethem Carts, Work/set-up Tables, Baking Racks And Pans, Delivery Carts, Storage Racks, Beverage Containers And White Bins. Remove Existing Security Devices In The Area Of Work And Return To The Facility. Upgrade Of Security Systems Including New Duress Buttons And New Security Cameras To Provide Adequate Cctv Coverage Throughout The Kitchen Area As Well As Fridges And Freezer. The Ontario Police College Is A 175 Acre Site Located At 10716 Hacienda Rd, Aylmer, On, N5h 2r3. The Site Consists Of Seven (7) Buildings: Ontario Police College (opc), Burn Cell, Clan Lab Training Building, Dsa & Police Vehicle Operation (b25598), Msg Outdoor Firing Range, Pump House And Water Tank. The Building Is Equipped With An Edwards Est, Model 6616 Fire Alarm Control Panel Located At The Building Entrance. The Panel Is A Standalone Panel And Is Independent To The Site's Fire Panel System. The Edwards Panel Is Monitored By An Off-site Central Monitoring Station (forest City Fire Protection). Project Scope: 230311 - Study - Fls (fire Alarm System) (274524): 1. The Intent Of This Project Is To Complete A Comprehensive Investigation Of The Fire And Life Safety Systems At The Following Building(s): Dsa & Police Vehicle Operation (b25598) At 10716 Hacienda Rd, Aylmer, On, N5h 2r3. 2. This Study Is To Review And Evaluate The Condition As Well As Factors Affecting The Condition Of The Following Systems: Fire Alarm System (panel And End Devices), Detection Systems, Emergency Lighting, And Exit Lighting. For The Sprinkler And Standpipes, The Study Can Focus On The Adequacy Of These Fire Suppression Systems In Relation To Both Applicable And Current Codes As Opposed To Evaluating The Physical Condition Of The Pipes With Intrusive Testing. 3. For More Details, Please Refer To “appendix B - 230311 - Project Summary” That Shows The Details Of Testing To Be Completed. Testing Plan To Be Submitted Prior To Intrusive Testing. 4. Consultant To Assess All Applicable Code Compliance And Determine If An Upgrade Is Required Based On Those Findings. The Consultant Must Have A Proven Knowledge Of Latest Building Codes, Nfpa Guidelines And Revisions To Ensure Value Added Are Brought Forth To Mitigate Proposed Costs While Adhering To Competing Codes. 5. The Comprehensive Study Is To Address Issues Related To Capital Renewal, Regulatory Compliance, Operational Efficiency And Performance Improvements. A Site Strategy Must Be Created To Remedy Past Piecemeal Attempts To Repair/upgrade Failing Equipment Only. 6. The Study Should Outline Methods And Recommendations To Comply With All Applicable Codes, Standards, And Guidelines. This Property Is Predominantly Involved In Monitoring Fish Stocks And Fishing Activities And Enforcement Of Fishing Quotas. The Site Also Provides Access To The Boat Slip/ Dock At Lake Erie. The Roof Construction In These Areas Consists Of A Steel Deck Supported By Steel Framing. 230318 - Study - Piping (274521): 1. The Intent Of The Project Is To Investigate The Current Piping Systems At The Mnr Fishery Station Lake Erie In Wheatley. 2. Piping Systems To Be Investigated Include The Interior Domestic Water Distribution, Sanitary Waste, Rainwater Drainage, Hydronic (heating/chilled/glycol) Distribution, Sprinklers, And Standpipes As Well As Underground Water Supply, Sanitary Sewer, And Storm Sewer Piping. Lead Testing To Be Included In This Study. 3. Every Year, Sewage Pumps Are Replaced Due To The Length The Liquid Has To Travel & There Is Large Trap That Needed To Be Built In The System. Sanitary Discharge System Pipeline Runs Almost A Km. This Pipeline Is Inclined At A Point And Declined At Another Point, Due To This Inclination/declination, Sediment Gets Trapped Inside Which Needs To Be Investigated. 4. Washroom In Building B15175 Connects Sewage Pipe Which Is Flowing To The Wrong Site (pump Site Not The Solid Waste Site) – This Concern Needs To Be Confirmed And Investigated. 5.
