The conservatory of music, dance and dramatic art of Poissy, founded in 1964, is one of the most important of the Yvelines department, welcoming nearly 1,200 members and 43 professors. The conservatory currently occupies a building at 21 rue du 8 mai 1945, opposite the City Hall. Today, this building no longer meets the growing needs of the conservatory. The number of rooms is insufficient and the structure does not accommodate all the activities, forcing users to move to other sites. The objective of the City of Poissy is to build new equipment of approximately 3,000 m 2 of floor space in order to be able to accommodate all members on a single site, by offering them suitable premises. s. Currently, on the plot, there is a tertiary building of four floors with parking in the basement. The City of Poissy wishes to have it demolished in order to build the conservatory. The new conservatory of the City of Poissy will respond to the growth in the number of members, currently reaching 1,200 students.
