Lvn 6.0 The state of Brandenburg operates the Brandenburg state administration network in its current expansion stage 5 (LVN 5.0) as a high-performance data and communications network to which more than 500 state authorities and institutions as well as municipalities are connected. Various specialist networks are defined within the network, which are implemented using a VPN concept. The LVN ensures comprehensive, broadband data and voice exchange between state administration institutions. Graduated bandwidths and several service classes enable access to network services tailored to the respective requirements. The LVN is operated as an IP network using modern standards and general encryption. In addition to central network services such as email (Exchange), directory services, server services or web services, this network is also used to transmit the "voice" service (IP telephony) between the authorities and institutions as well as municipalities in the state of Brandenburg. In addition, several hundred specialist procedures are processed via the LVN. The existing LVN 5.0 is provided on the basis of a contract with T-Systems International GmbH, which expires on December 31, 2025. In addition, there are further contractual obligations in Lot 3 until June 30, 2027. The actual contract period is followed by the contractor's obligation to support the migration to the successor system (subsequent contract period), which can last a maximum of 2 years.
