The required prior work experience for the bidder can be demonstrated by completing one of the following: - Three similar works costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work - Two similar works costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost of work - One similar work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost of work. The bidder should submit a list of works successfully completed or substantially completed in the last 7 years and the current financial year. To calculate Available Bid Capacity (ABC), the bidder needs to provide information on the maximum value of all Civil Engineering works in any one year during the last 5 financial years. The formula to calculate ABC is: Available Bid Capacity = 2.50 x A x N - B, where A: Maximum value of all Civil Engg works in any one year during the last 5 financial years (updated at current price level with enhancement factor by adding 10% escalation per annum), N: Number of years prescribed for completion of work for which current bid is invited (given as 0.49 years), B: Value of the balance ongoing works to be executed in period “N”. The bidder should submit balance sheets or certificates from a Chartered Accountant indicating the annual turnover of Civil Engineering works executed in the last 05 years. The bidder should also submit details of ongoing works. No specific percentage of similar works completed is mentioned for the calculation of Available Bid Capacity. However, the percentages of estimated cost of work for similar works are 40%, 50%, and 80%.
