The bid capacity required can be calculated using the formula: Bid Capacity = {[AxNx2]-B} Where, A = Maximum turnover in construction works executed in any one year during the last five years taking into account the completed as well as works in progress. The value of completed works shall be brought to current costing level by enhancing at a simple rate of 7% per annum. N = Number of years prescribed for completion of work for which bids has been invited. B = Value of existing commitments and ongoing works to be completed during the period of completion of work for which bids have been invited. Alternatively, the bid capacity required is also mentioned as Rs. 360.925 L, which is 50% of the estimated cost of the project (Rs. 721.85 L). Additionally, the bidder should have satisfactorily completed the works under Central Govt./ State Govt. organization/ Central Public Sector Undertaking within the country as mentioned below during the last 7 (Seven) years ending previous day of last date of submission of tenders. The work experience requirements are: - Three similar works each costing not less than Rs. 288.74 L (40% of the estimated cost of the project) - OR - Two similar works each costing not less than Rs. 360.925 L (50% of the estimated cost of the project) - OR - One similar work costing not less than Rs. 577.48 L (80% of the estimated cost of the project) These values can be calculated using the formulas: - 40% of Estimated Cost = 0.4 * Estimated Cost put to Tender = 0.4 * 721.85 L = 288.74 L - 50% of Estimated Cost = 0.5 * Estimated Cost put to Tender = 0.5 * 721.85 L = 360.925 L - 80% of Estimated Cost = 0.8 * Estimated Cost put to Tender = 0.8 * 721.85 L = 577.48 L The value of executed works shall be brought to the current costing level by enhancing the actual value of work done at a simple rate of 7% per annum, calculated from the date of completion to the last date of submission of bids. So, the bid capacity required in terms of financial turnover and work experience can be summarized as: - Average Annual Financial Turnover: Rs. 360.925 L - Work Experience: - Three similar works each costing not less than Rs. 288.74 L - OR - Two similar works each costing not less than Rs. 360.925 L - OR - One similar work costing not less than Rs. 577.48 L For Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) packages, the bid capacity required can be calculated as: - 40% of the estimated cost for the E&M works (Rs. 33.7768 lakh) for three similar completed works: Rs. 13.51072 lakh per work. - 50% of the estimated cost for the E&M works (Rs. 33.7768 lakh) for two similar completed works: Rs. 16.8884 lakh per work. - 80% of the estimated cost for the E&M works (Rs. 33.7768 lakh) for one similar completed work: Rs. 27.02144 lakh. Thus, the bid capacity required for E&M packages can be summarized as: - Three works: Each not less than 40% of the estimated cost (Rs. 13.51072 lakh). - Two works: Each not less than 50% of the estimated cost (Rs. 16.8884 lakh). - One work: Not less than 80% of the estimated cost (Rs. 27.02144 lakh).
