The required prior work experience for the bidder includes completion of similar works with specific values and percentages. The bidder can fulfill this requirement in one of three ways: 1. Completion of a single work of similar nature, with a cost of not less than 80% of the estimated cost put to tender. 2. Completion of two works of similar nature, each with a cost of not less than 50% of the estimated cost put to tender. 3. Completion of three works of similar nature, each with a cost of not less than 40% of the estimated cost put to tender. Additionally, the bidder must have an average annual financial turnover of at least 30% of the estimated cost put to tender during the last 3 years. The experience of individual partners of a Joint Venture can be added together to meet the qualification criteria. The bidder is also required to submit a Satisfactory Work Completion Certificate for the similar work experience. The cost of previous completed works will be given a weightage of 7% per year to bring them to the current price level. The estimated cost put to tender is also mentioned in relation to a threshold, where this work experience criteria is not applicable for tenders with an estimated cost value (ECV) below 50 lakhs.
