Procurement Forecast for Procurement of heavy machinery for Bahoriston canal single agency The project will enhance climate resilience, water productivity, and the income of female and male farmers by modernizing selected areas of the Yovon I&D system, located in the Khatlon Province of the lower Vaksh river. The project will have the following outcome: climate and disaster resilience agricultural production and income of both male and female farmers increased in selected areas of the Yovon I&D system. It will modernize the priority components of the Yovon I&D systems; and will increase the capacities of the Agency for Land Reclamation and Irrigation (ALRI) and water users’ associations (WUAs) in improved infrastructure management and gender- and climate sensitive water use through three outputs; (i) Output 1: Climate and disaster resilient I&D infrastructure modernized; (ii) Output 2: Climate adaptive and gender-responsive management and operation of I&D systems strengthened; and (iii) Output 3: Policy for sustainable water management strengthened1 .
