The aim of the contract is to secure that the contracting authority has access to interpretation services when these are required in order to carry out the contracting authority's work assignments, as well as to ensure legal protection for, and equal treatment of, those who require interpretation. The contract is for the provision of interpretation services for use in, amongst other things, criminal cases, administration cases, and civil legal care. There is a need for interpretation services 24 hours a day, both on weekdays, at weekends, and on public holidays, for both urgent assignments (everything from an immediate need where an interpreter is required as soon as possible to a few hours notice), and planned assignments. The contract also covers in-situ interpretation and remote interpretation.
