The Norwegian Health Directorate has recommendations that everyone over the age of 65, as part of their weekly physical activity, ought to do balance and weight training at least 2-3 times a week in order to maintain physical function and prevent falls. As part of this work an eLearning programme was prepared in 2019 to strengthen knowledge on fall preventive training amongst persons who work with the elderly. BASIS has been regularly updated and further developed since it was launched in 2019. This applies to the eLearning, website, and exercise bank. It concerns both professional and technical updates.
