Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) was established by the Irish Government under the Horse and Greyhound Racing Act 2001 and the Irish Horseracing Industry Act 1994. It is a commercial semi-state body that is responsible for the administration, promotion and development of Horse Racing in Ireland. HRI subsidiaries include Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Ltd (ITM), Tote Ireland Ltd and HRI Racecourse Division consisting of Leopardstown Racecourse, Fairyhouse Racecourse, Navan Racecourse, Tipperary Racecourse and Leopardstown Golf Centre, as well as a holding interest in Cork Racecourse. HRI Headquarters are located in Ballymany, Newbridge, Co Kildare. In the first instance it is envisaged that Leopardstown Club and Horse Racing Ireland will have requirements under the framework. Single Party Framework for a provision of a Travel Management Services. This contract is for the supply of but is not limited to the following: a) Corporate travel booking and reservation services for domestic and international destinations (air) b) Corporate hotel booking and reservation services c) Corporate car hire and reservation services d) Other associated services, including 24 / 7 travel assistance

The purpose of this agreement is to provide energy advisory services to Horse Racing Ireland and its Subsidiaries as well as to a number of affiliated locations. The affiliated locations are the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board, The Irish National Stud, The Irish Equine Centre, Cork Racecourse, Curragh Racecourse and R.A.C.E. The successful tenderer must have / establish a good working relationship with the MRSO (Meter Registration System Operator), the GPRO(Gas Point Registration Operator), the ESB Networks and GNI(Gas Networks Ireland). The successful tenderer will act as facilitator to HRI & Subsidiaries for mini-competitions and contracts. Please refer to the attached document for a detailed specification.

Horse Racing Ireland’s (HRI) IT Infrastructure spans several sites and is supported by three HRI permanent staff members. The main HQ is located in Ballymany, The Curragh, Co. Kildare. The majority of the users and IT infrastructure are located at this location. HRI’s remote sites include six racecourses and one golf course, located in Leopardstown (racecourse and golf course), Fairyhouse, Navan, Tipperary, Curragh and Cork. HRI also have a Disaster Recovery site in West Dublin and have IT infrastructure located in another Dublin data centre. Subsidiaries of HRI include Tote Ireland Ltd., HRI Racecourses Ltd., and Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Ltd. HRI Racecourses Ltd. owns and operates Leopardstown, Fairyhouse, Navan and Tipperary Racecourses and Leopardstown Golf Course. Cork Racecourse Mallow Limited and Curragh Racecourse Limited while not subsidiaries of Horse Racing Ireland, are closely affiliated with HRI Racecourses Ltd. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to use the contract for any other business venture falling under its remit.
