The Department of Education (DoE) intends to put in place a multi-supplier framework agreement, for the Provision of Broadband and Associated Services to Schools for the Department of Education. The Schools Broadband Access Programme which began in 2005 comprises three elements - local connectivity to schools, a national broadband network and a school’s broadband service desk. The Schools Broadband Network provides centrally managed services for schools including broadband connectivity, security, anti-spam/ anti-virus and content filtering. Broadband connectivity is provided using a range of technologies. Under the Schools Broadband Access Programme, the Department of Education (DoE), provides all primary schools and special schools (other than those included in the Post Primary Programme) with broadband connectivity via the National Schools Broadband Network supported by HEAnet. It is necessary to establish a new Framework of providers to ensure continuation of the programme.

Tenders are sought for the supply and delivery of a one (1) of FT-IR Spectrometer System, one (1) Raman Spectrometer System, and one (1) Fluorescence Spectrometer System for UCD. These devices are being purchased for the Dairy Processing Technology Centre (DPTC), an industry–academic collaborative research centre with a research agenda driven by the long-term growth opportunities for the dairy sector.

Waterford Institute of Technology wishes to procure the supply and delivery of the following: Lot 1 – The Coordinate Measuring Machine is a 3-axis, fully automated, touch probe coordinate system with fixed and articulating probe heads capable of high-speed data acquisition with a rotary (4th) axis capable of vertical or horizontal mounting. The system will have a 700x700x600 working volume with modern control software. Lot 2 – The Automated White Light Interferometry is an automated white light interferometry system for the measurement of surface roughness, with a driven sample stage, automated control over the optical path, a modern PC based control, and be capable of automated stitching over large areas. Lot 3 – Benchtop Area Scanning X-Ray Fluorescence is a benchtop, standalone Micro X-ray Fluorescence (μXRF) Analysis System. The system will be capable of performing a wide range of different types of elemental analysis over a large sample area.

This public procurement competition relates to the establishment of a Multi Party Framework ("Framework") for the Provision of Bus Hire Services for the University of Limerick for students/participants and staff travelling to and from University Departments for various individual trips as detailed under Department Requirements in the Tender Response document (TRD).

The tender proposal should highlight features and specifications that contribute to maximising the available research budget. The instruments are to be supplied and installed with peripherals for analysing a variety of sample types, one-year warranty minimum and on-site training for staff. A minimum 3-year maintenance contracts/agreement is required, however 5 years is desirable.

Tenders are sought for the supply, delivery, installation and maintenance of a package of 5 high-end instruments including a state of the art Single Crystal X-Ray Diffractometer [SC-XRD], which must provide accurate, replicable structural and chemical characterisation of a wide range of materials [e.g. fluids, powders, single crystals and thin films], best in class performance, and excellent value for money. The instruments are to be supplied with the relevant software licenses, two-year warranty minimum and on-site training for staff/students. The X-Ray tools are expected to form a key part of a shared infrastructure approach to support advanced research. The overall offering should be suitable for a multi-user learning and research user environment.

Tenders are sought for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of 1 (one) high throughput infrared microscopic spectral imaging system (LOT 1) and 1 (one) infrared-microscopic platform that provides chemical information from the microscale to the nanoscale for University College Dublin. This competition is divided in to 2 Lots. Suppliers may tender for individual of multiple lots.

Tenders are sought for the supply, delivery and installation of a suite of Modular Bioreactor Units and associated control units, offering 50 - 200 mL working volumes for microbial culture, with capability to measure biomass, pH, and DO. A suite of 8 glass Bioreactor Units for microbial culture with appropriate control towers to enable simultaneous and independent operation of all Units is required.

UCD is seeking tenders for the Supply, Delivery, Installation, upgrading and Commissioning of a 600 MHz Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectrometer. The instrument will be located in a purpose-built NMR room in the basement of the UCD Conway Institute of Biomolecular and Biomedical Researcher. This room was specially designed to accommodate NMR instruments and currently is home to three NMR instruments (600, 400 and 300 MHz NMRs). The 600 MHz NMR is the instrument that is being upgraded.
