Notes for ser item Nos 01 to 05 :- (a) The entire work mentioned in item No. 01 to 05 of BOQ/sch 'A', including comprehensive , Preventive and periodical maintenance of lifts shall be got executed through OEM i.e. M/s ThyssenKrupp Elevators (India) Pvt. Ltd. . The contractor shall upload/submit the Intent of MOU with OEM in cover-1, failing which the tender application/ bid will be summarily rejected. The contractor will also submit the physical copy of Intent of MOU alongwith their application in the office of tender inviting authority prior to bid opening date (Cover 1) failing which bid submitted by the contractor cover No.2 shall not be opened. L-1 (Lowest bidder) shall submit MOU with OEM to GE after acceptance of tender and same shall be checked/verified by GE before commencement of work. (b) The tenderer shall have to replace the unserviceable /Broken materials within the OEM materials only. Necessary paid vouchers shall be submitted from OEM for the materials like ARD, drive, etc. Contractor is responsible for renewal of license fee. The charges for annual Government inspection is deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (c) The comprehensive maintenance include weekly, fortnightly, monthly , quarterly, half yearly inspection/testing/ preventive maintenance, replacement of unserviceable parts/ material including labour, transportation etc. complete all as specified and directed. (d) The complaints shall be attended forthwith as the complaint/failure from the time to time of receipt of the same. The contractor shall deploy sufficient lift mechanic and helper. Rate quoted is deemed to be inclusive of T&P required to carry out repairs, stationery for upkeep of records, uniform to mechanic and helper etc.

Notes contd... (e) The contractor shall obtain signature of Authorized representative of GE as token of satisfactory rectification of defects. Any minor complaints requiring no spare parts shall be rectified within three hour and if requiring minor parts, shall be rectified within six hours. Any major complaints requiring major parts / repair shall be rectified within 24 hrs. In case delay in rectification of minor complaints , a panel recovery @ Rs. 100.00 per hour shall be imposed upon the contractor and in case of delay in major repair of the lifts for more than 24 hours and upto 10 (ten) days, penalty on the contractor for a sum of Rs. 2000.00 per lift per day or part thereof and Rs. 4000.00 per lift per day or part thereof after 10 (ten) days shall be imposed. The decision of the GE as to particular repair is minor/ major and a particular lift has been maintained or not on a particular day, will be final and binding. The above penalty shall be in addition to the provision made in Clause No. 50 of IAFW-2249. In the event of burning of motor , a time of 7 days shall be allowed to the contractor for rectification of fault. After that period, penal recovery at the rate of Rs.2000.00 per day shall be imposed on the contractor. (f) A complaint register will be maintained by the contractor and the contractor will obtain the complaint from JE/ AGE E/M office on every working day at 0900 hrs or will be informed telephonically by the Dept. at any time. Two mobile Nos and two email IDs to be maintained by the contractor to communicate the complaints. After attending the complaints, the contractor will obtain the signature from the Authorised Representative of GE every day as token of complaints attended. (g) Ser Item No. 01 to 05 of BOQ mentioned here-in-above consists of comprehensive maintenance of M/S ThyssenKrupp lifts at CAMERO & WAC Area at Subroto Park. The work will be carried out under Authorised dealer for comprehensive maintenance of lifts complete all as specified in Sch'A'/ BOQ, Special condition, Particular specification, MES SSR and as directed by GE/Engineer-In-Charge. (h) Lift mechanic shall be well experienced in lift/elevators repairs and maintenance and fully equipped with required T&P. (i) Contractor shall submit police verification certificates of personnel employed before commencement of works. (j) Contractor shall carry out daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly and half yearly inspection and report of the same shall be submitted to the Engineer-In-Charge.

Notes contd... (ac) Checking that the sheaves are tight on the shaft , also checking with hammer sounding for cracks, check sheave bearing clean and re-lubricate. Adjust for proper axial play. (ad) Unload car(s) checking the worn gear lash and adjust by removal of sheaves as required. (ae) Checking of motor bearing, clean and lubricate. (af) Checking that the gear coupling belts are tight.
