Manually removal of vegetation (major trees, climbing plants, creepers) from roof slab, roof vault, walls, columns, arches, floor etc in a skilled and careful manner, using appropriate tools and means and without causing any damage to the adjoining parts, including carrying and stacking the dismantled materials including lift/lower upto roof vault, minatates, terrace etc, as directed by the engineer or architect in charge. The exposed surfaces will be coated with a paste made from ammonium sulphamate crystals or with "Tree killer" available in market. In this condition the root system may be left to absorb and die. Large sections of dead wood must not be left within the core. As they decay they will remove support and create voids and weaknesses in the wall. Pull off a well‐established mat of vegetation must be resisted.

Providing and inserting 12 mm dia galvanized iron injection nipples along crack lines in masonry work, including. i) drilling holes of required diameter up to depths from 30mm to 80mm or half the thickness of member (whichever is less), at required spacing but No.t exceeding the thickness of member or 300 mm. ii) Making grooves of size 12mm x 12mm along the crack line.iii) Making the crack dust free by blowing compressed air and then washing with water. iv) Sealing the distance between the injection nipples with approved putty (Polymer modified lime mortar /polyester putty/epoxy putty) etc. and allow it to cure. v) If limeitious grout material proposed to be used, washing and saturating the cracked surface with water by pumping from top most nipple and down wards complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge.( The rate shall include all material, labour and all operations above. Polymer Modified Micro-Concrete: Providing and laying of polymer modified dual shrinkage compensated and Flowable micro-concrete MasterEmaco S-810 of BASF Construction Chemical having 28 day compressive stregth of 40 Mpa , blended with washed, saturated surface-dry (SSD), graded, low absorption, high density aggregates of size 8 mm & below up to 30% by weight of micro-concrete and water at 4 lit. per 25 kg bag or as per manufractures specification and pouring into the form work using suitable pumping device for uniform flow of concrete at specified locations. The side shuttering can be removed after 3 days and the bottom shuttering after 7 days ensuring proper bond between the micro concrete and existing concrete substrate. Item rate inclusive of 4 mm thk steel form work with all lead & lift and including with welding rods & other consumbables materials, labours, supervision, tools, tackles, transportation, curing, etc., complete as per specification and as directed. Providing and fixing masonry crack stitching system in the form of high tensile grade 304 or higher stainless steel 6 mm dia helical reinforcing bars conforming t BS EN 845-1:2013 or equivalent international code into groove filled with approved grout.. Minimum ultimate tensile strength shall be 1000 N/sqmm and minimum tensile load capacity of 8 KN. The grout shall be thixotropic polymer modified cementitious grout with non-shrink properties and minimum compressive strength of 55 N/sqmm. For making groove , grind out mortar bed to a depth of 30 mm for half brick wall or 40 mm for full brick wall and 500 mm on either side of the crack. Clear the debris from the slot and thoroughly flush out with water. Pump the grout to the back of the slot to approximately 10 mm from surface. Push the stitching bar half way into grout filled slot, trowel back displaced grout and repoint all as per manufactures specifications including all machinery, skilled labour and tools and tackles complete in all respect as per instructions of Engineer In-charge.

Crack stitching 10mm Helibar : Providing and fixing of Helifix Hi-fin reinforcement Helibars of 10mm dia, single bar in one slot, MOC Austenitic stainless steel, ASTM 304, having cross section area of 14.8sqmm, pitch 45/48, with ultimate tensile strength not less than 17.5 kN, shear strength 9.5kN, along with Helibond Grout, a special cementitious grout with low expansion, non gassing and injectable with exceptional non shrink thixotropic properties having compressive strength at 28 days of not less than 45 N/sqmm. Providing Lime Surkhi Sand Plaster 1:1:1 as a leveling course (1 Lime putty : 1 Surkhi : 1 Sand) including preparation of mortar by traditional practice (by grinding) including additives methi powder (@2kg per Cum), gur (@4kg per Cum), guggal (@1kg per Cum), surface preparation average thickness upto 40mm thick & Loi, tamping, beating, till the shrinkage cracks disappear. The work is done with all leads as the work is of restoration nature as per Punjab practice including adding gur, methi & gugal on old walls including removal of all old loose and decade plaster, each coat to be done after 3 days of previous coat. All surfaces to be plastered shall be thoroughly wetted for 24 hours before commencing plaster and shall be kept damp during the progress of work. At the same time the wall should not be too wet, as plaster is then likely to fall out. It is essential to maintain uniform suction of water by receiving surfaces, which shall be ensured by damping evenly all dry patches before applying plaster. The Engineer In Charge will inspect and approve all preparatory work before the commencement of plastering work. Curing to be done for 21 days with help of water spray pump.

Sub Head 6 - Waterproofing : Providing and laying integral cement based brickbat coba water proofing treatment including preparation of surface With average thickness of 120 mm and minimum thickness at khurra as 65 mm as required for treatment of roofs, balconies, terraces etc consisting of following operations and furnishing a guarantee bond of 10 years: a) Applying a slurry coat of neat cement using 2.7 kg/sqm of cement admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS. 2645 and approve by Engineer-in-charge over the RCC slab including adjoining walls up to 300 mm height including cleaning the surface before treatment. b) Laying brick bats with mortar using broken bricks/brick bats 25 mm to 115 mm size with 50% of cement mortar 1:5 (1 cement : 5 coarse sand) admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645 and approved by Engineer-in-charge over 20 mm thick layer of cement mortar of mix 1:5 (1 cement :5 coarse sand ) admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645 and approved by Engineer-in-charge to required slope and treating similarly the adjoining walls up to 300 mm height including rounding of junctions of walls and slabs. c) After two days of proper curing applying a second coat of cement slurry using 2.75 kg/ sqm of cement admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645 and approved by Engineering-charge. d) Finishing the surface with 20 mm thick joint less cement mortar of mix 1:4 (1 cement: 4 coarse sand) admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645 and approved by Engineering-charge including laying glass fiber cloth of approved quality in top layer of plaster and finally finishing the surface with trowel with neat cement slurry and making pattern of 300x300 mm square 3 mm deep. e) The whole terrace so finished shall be flooded with water for a minimum period of two weeks for curing and for final test. All above operations to be done in order and as directed and specified by the Engineer-in-Charge :With average thickness of 120 mm and minimum thickness at khurra as 65 mm.
