Governor:- The Governor shall be electronic type confirming to class A1 and shall be self contained unit capable of monitoring speed. It shall be suitable for remote operation. This should confirm to ISO 3046/ BS 5514 with actuator as per standard design of manufacturer.

Base Frame & Foundation: Both the Engine and Alternator shall be mounted on suitable base frame made of MS channel with necessary reinforcement which shall be installed on suitable cement concrete foundation and vibration isolation arrangement as per recommendations of manufacturer. The base frame of the diesel generating set shall be sturdy and fabricated/welded construction out of M.S. channel iron base of suitable size for mounting the above engine & alternator. The base frame shall be suitably designed to simplify transportation, handling, slinging, E&C. This base frame shall be painted with anti-corrosive epoxy paint. The noise level shall not exceed 75 dB in accordance with the latest applicable CPCB norms for noise. A set of anti-vibration pads shall be provided between base frame and engine alternator.

Fuel Tank :Daily service fuel tank of 700 liters capacity fabricated out of 3 mm thick M.S. sheet complete with all standard accessories and fuel piping between fuel tank and diesel engine with MS class ‘C’pipes of suitable dia. Complete with valves, levelindications & accessories as required as per specifications.

Exhaust System:Dry exhaust manifold with exhaust silencer and catalytic convertor provided with suitable length & size of exhaust pipe i/c all supporting structure as per manufacture design.

Starting System: 12V/24V DC starting system comprising of starter motors: voltage regulator and arrangement for initial excitation complete with suitable nos. of batteries as required (25 plates, 180 Amps Hour Capacity Lead Acid type) as per specifications. Make of the Lead Acid battery Exide / Amara Raja only.

Acoustic and weather proof enclosure (outdoor type) with arrangement for fresh air intake for cooling of the engine & alternator, extraction, discharging hot air into the atmosphere as per specifications to accommodate item (a) to (f) above. The DG Set should conform to the requirements of the latest 'CPCB IV+ Emission Regulation’ (amended up to date). Sound proofing of the enclosure should be done with high quality fire retardant insulation material i.e. Rock wool/Glass wool/Mineral wool/ PU foam of appropriate thickness & density for sound absorption in accordance with the latest applicable CPCB norms.

Testing:- i) The complete DG set shall be tested as per CPWD general spesifications for electrical work Part-VII D.G. sets- 2013 (Amended up to date) and relevant IS provisions. Following test shall be carried out. ii) DG set tested on load of unity power factor for the rated KW rating of DG set. During testing each of DG set cover under scope of work shall be operated for a period of 12 hours on the rated KW at DG set KW rating including 1 hour on 10% overload after continuous run of 12 hours. During testing all control, operation safety will be checked and proper record will be maintained. Any defect/ abnormality noticed during testing shall be rectified. The testing will be declared successful only when no abnormality/ failure notice during the testing. The charges for lubricating and HSD oil fo testing shall be borne by the firm.

AUTOMATIC MAINS FAILURE (AMF) CONTROL PANEL:- Supplying, Installing, Testing and commissioning of Automatic mains failure (AMF) control Panel, cubicle type suitable for out door with IP66 protection and suitable for 415 V, 3 phase, 4 wire, 50 HZ supply system and 400 KVA silent type DG set (Designed & Manufactured by DG set OEM)with relays, timers, set of CTs of metering & protection and digital multifunction meter to indicate currents, phase and line voltage, frequency, power factor, KWH, KVARH & provision for overload, short circuit, restricted earth fault, under frequency, control cabling from AMF panel to diesel engine and elsewhere if required all complete and interlocking.The AMF panel should be fabricated out of 2 mm thick CRCA sheet with , i/c cleaning & finishing with 7 tank process complete with powder coating in approved shade, having suitable capacity TPN tinned electrolytic Copper bus bars, DMC/ SMC bus bar supports, with short circuit withstand capacity of 31 MVA for 1 Sec, 25x5mm copper earth bar for the entire length of the panel with 2 Nos. earthing terminals, bottom base channel of MS section not less than 100mm x 50mm x 5mm thick, lifting hooks, suitable brick pedestal at bottom complete with the following including connections etc as reqd.

1 Nos. 800A, 4P, MDO, ACB, 415V, 50KA, Ics = Icu = Icw (1 sec) = 50KA, confirming to IS-13947-2-1993 as amended up to date complete with Microprocessor release for over current, earth fault & short circuit protection. The ACB should be of Schneider / Siemens / L&T / ABB / Legrand make only. Auto / Manual / Test/Off selector switch. 1 Nos. over voltage relay, 1 Nos. reverse power relay and 1 Nos. under voltage relay. 3 Set of 800/5A Current transformers 15P10 accuracy for protection and15VA, class-1 for metering. Digital multifunction meter for Volt / Ampere / Frequency / Power Factor / kW / kVA / kWh / kWAh - with RS485 port with selector switch for selecting mains and alternator - 1 set. Indicating lamps (LED type) for Mains ON, DG ON, Load on DG and Load on Mains. Suitable MCB for instruments & other required accessories / swithes etc. complete in all reaspets for proper functioning of AMF pannel.

Battery Charger: - SMPS Based Unit of rating 24V, 20 Amps with inbuilt Auto/Manual, current adjustment & Float/ Boost Facility with DC Voltmeter & Ammeter. Main supply failure monitor. Supply failure timer. Restoration timer. Control unit with three impulse automatic engine start / stop and failure to start lockout. Impulse counter with locking and reset facility. ON/ OFF / Control circuit switch with indicator. Audio/ Video annunciation for:- a) Low lubricating oil pressure. b) Engine over speed. c) Engine fails to start. d ) Full load/ maximum load warning. e) High water temperature. (M.R)

Earthing with G.I. earth plate 600 mm X 600 mm X 6 mm thick including accessories, and providing masonry enclosure with cover plate having locking arrangement and watering pipe of 2.7 metre long etc. with charcoal/ coke and salt as required. (DSR 5.4)

Supplying and laying 25 mm X 5 mm G.I strip at 0.50 metre below ground as strip earth electrode, including connection/ below ground as strip earth electrode, including connection/ terminating with G.I. nut, bolt, spring, washer etc. as required. (Jointing shall be done by overlapping and with 2 sets of G.I. nut bolt & spring washer spaced at 50mm) (DSR 5.9)

Supplying and making end termination with brass copression gland and aluminium lugs for following size of PVC insulated and PVC sheathed/ XLPE aluminium conductor cable of 1.1 KV grade as required.
